Terroir II Collection

A little more room around you.

Terroir II takes the landscape-led idea into a more generous scale.

These are homes with room for people to come together and enough space for the house to breathe: gardens, terraces, courtyards, open views or a greater sense of privacy may all contribute. The precise form can vary from a country house to a substantial village home, a mountain residence or another property whose setting is inseparable from the way it is lived.

Homes & Composition

Terroir II is made for houses that can fill and empty without either state feeling awkward.

There should be generous shared spaces, but also places to withdraw. Outdoor space becomes more important: perhaps a mature garden, a courtyard, terraces or simply enough distance around the house to create privacy.

Greater scale alone does not qualify a property. We look for architecture, light, approach, setting and qualities that would be difficult — or impossible — to manufacture after purchase.

Nor does every home need to conform to an image of rural life. A substantial house within a village, a mountain home close to town or even the right urban residence can create exactly the contrast the other four homes need.

The Collection is composed home by home, not destination by destination.

“The house always comes before the map.”

Interiors

Moodboard Terroir II
Made for a house that fills and empties.

Terroir II has room for life to spread out. A generous table can become the centre of the house while quieter rooms, terraces and separate sitting areas allow several generations or groups of friends to find their own space.

The interiors should feel layered rather than coordinated. Old timber can sit beside contemporary furniture; stone and plaster beside strong textiles, art and objects that bring depth and colour.

Comfort matters everywhere — not only in the principal bedroom or main living room. Guest rooms, secondary spaces and outdoor rooms receive the same attention.

The distinction from Terroir I is greater scale, rarity and property complexity, never a higher standard of design or finish.

Scale varies. Standards do not.
