Terroir I Collection

A closer relationship with place.

Terroir I is landscape-led rather than defined by a particular property type. Its homes are chosen for the role that setting, outdoor life and the surrounding place play in how they are lived.

That may mean a stone house in the countryside, a village townhouse with a courtyard, a mountain apartment looking onto the slopes or a coastal home close enough to walk into town. What matters is not whether the address is technically rural or urban, but whether the wider setting is part of the life of the house.

Homes & Composition

Terroir I is conceived around homes with enough space for family and friends without losing intimacy.

The setting may reveal itself through a garden, a terrace above a village, mountains outside the windows, the sea at the end of the street or simply a house whose architecture makes sense precisely where it stands.

A Terroir home does not need acreage, a swimming pool or a rural postcode. A remarkable townhouse in the South of France can have more of this quality than an anonymous villa surrounded by land.

Most of the Collection will be led by place and outdoor life. A more urban home can enter when it creates useful contrast and meets the same standard.

Not every good house is a Liora house.

“The house always comes before the map.”

Interiors

moodboard terroirI
Let the house lead.

The interior should never arrive before the place.

We begin with what the building already gives us: its light, proportions, stone, timber, plasterwork, views and the details that should survive the renovation. From there, comfort is introduced through materials, furniture, lighting and textiles appropriate to the house rather than to a predetermined Terroir look.

Colour can be quiet or expressive. Old furniture may sit beside contemporary pieces. Art, textiles and objects should make the rooms richer without turning the house into a regional theme.

A smaller Terroir home receives exactly the same attention to architecture, materials and finish as the more substantial Collections.

Scale varies. Standards do not.
